Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) has entered into a new partnership with the International School Aberdeen (ISA) to support the delivery of community football programmes in Aberdeen.
ISA has provided AFCCT with access to its facilities to deliver term-time community football programmes, which include participation centres and the newly added Wee Dandies sessions for 2–5-year-olds. AFCCT football development staff are also providing additional coaching sessions for ISA pupils aged 5 to 18.
The new collaboration with AFCCT further strengthens ISA’s wider relationship with Aberdeen FC. It builds on ISA’s recent appointment as AberDNA Junior sponsor and reinforces its commitment to supporting the next generation of football fans across the North-east.
Stephen Boddie, AFCCT Football Team Lead, commented:
“AFCCT is delighted to be working more closely with ISA. Together, we aim to strengthen connections between the local community, ISA and AFCCT, initially through football projects for 4–18-year-olds. Over time, we hope to broaden the partnership and increase the impact of both organisations in response to the needs of the local community. We look forward to seeing the partnership flourish in the months and years ahead.”
Kevin Hawkins ISA Chief Operating Officer said:
“The International School of Aberdeen (ISA) is committed to serving the Aberdeen community, both as an independent school and as a charity.”
“The opportunity to partner with AFCCT is an exciting one for us as we see sport as an important part of a child's development. We are looking to grow our involvement with AFCCT as we recognise and value their contribution to the Aberdeen community.”
The International School of Aberdeen is located in Deeside and is an independent, IB World School with an inclusive community ethos and an innovative approach to learning that encourages our students to be independent, inquisitive and inspired by the world around them.
